Red belt students will refine their skills in hand strikes, sparring, and self defense while also adding in yet another new kicking technique. Red ​belt students who tested before December 2017 at IMAA learn the Karate form called Kata 5. Red ​belt students who tested in or after December 2017 at IMAA learn the Karate form called Swift Tigers.


Requirements for advancement

As with all belts, the following list is only a basic requirement for advancement. To be eligible to test you will have to have a deeper knowledge and understanding of all that we cover in class. ​​
